$7.5 Mil. Grant for Ethics Education
B-school ethics is a hot topic these days, and now, a consortium of schools will be able to do more than pay lip service to the concept, thanks to a $7.5 million grant from the Daniels Fund for teaching business ethics.
The grant expands an ethics program that the late cable magnate Bill Daniels helped found at the University of Wyoming and the School of Business at the University of Denver.
Under the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative, UW and DU will help create a regional consortium of business schools that will collectively work on curriculum and community outreach.
Other universities involved in the effort include the University of Utah, University of Northern Colorado, University of New Mexico, University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, New Mexico State University and Colorado State University.
Each university (UW and DU get extra grants) will receive $1.5 million over five years, and must show progress in broadening the reach of ethics instruction for the funds to continue, year by year.
