AACSB Accreditation for Indian School of Business

The Indian School of Business (ISB) recently celebrated its tenth anniversary and has announced that the timing is doubly satisfying due to that fact that ISB has also earned its Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation. This marks the first business school in South Asia accredited by the AACSB, the oldest and longest serving global accrediting body for business schools.

“We have worked for the past decade to provide the best of learning and faculty to the best of students globally; this accreditation is just a validation of our efforts,” notes Ram Kamesh from the ISB’s office of admissions and financial aid. The AACSB accreditation has been earned by less than five percent of the world’s business schools.

Today Asia is increasingly being viewed as the next global management hub, and India has emerged as a significant player. Against this backdrop, ISB believes international accreditation will enable Indian b-schools to strengthen their global standing and raise the quality of Indian education.

“The AACSB is unique because of its mission-driven approach, evaluating the applying schools against peer schools with similar missions,” says Ajit Rangnekar, dean of Indian School of Business. “Given our commitment to creating research-based knowledge, and developing leaders through innovative world-class programmes, we are delighted to have this robust and independent reaffirmation of our adherence to our mission.”
