Wharton Hosts Social Impact Visit Day November 11th

Do you hope to use your MBA to make a meaningful difference in society? The Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania invites socially conscious MBA applicants to campus on November 11th, 2010 for Wharton Social Impact Visit Day.

At this special event, prospective students can learn about the many opportunities available in fields such as Social Finance, Social Entrepreneurship, Education Reform, International Development and Corporate Social Responsibility.

Wharton Social Impact Visit Day’s agenda includes:
10:30am-12:00pm: Orientation and Panel Presentation
12:00pm-12:45pm: Campus Tour
12:45pm-1:15pm: Lunch with Social Impact Club members
1:30pm-3:00pm: Class Visit
3:00pm-4:00pm: Admissions Information Session
4:30pm: Pub

The Wharton Social Impact Conference takes place the following day, on November 12th, and this year’s theme is “The Business of Change: Building and Scaling Solutions for Social Impact,” which will explore how business acumen can be applied to address society’s most pressing issues.

The event will feature keynote speakers, panel discussions and networking events. Visit day students qualify for the non-member student rate for tickets, which is $35, and includes breakfast, lunch and a cocktail networking reception.
