Pink Mag Ranks Top EMBA Programs for Women

Pink magazine recently examined what some of the best business schools in America are doing to reach out to women, the challenges women considering going to business school face, and how they are addressed by top programs.

Schools are also learning quickly that accommodating women’s Life/Work balance conundrum may be the first step toward boosting women’s EMBA enrollment, Kathy Brister writes in her piece MBA to CEO.

Although the trend is still too new to show much of an increase in the flat enrollment levels of recent years, 24% of EMBA programs in a recent Graduate Management Admission Council survey have made a special effort to reach women.

Here are Pink’s favorite schools for women furthering their business education:

  • Emory University, Goizueta Business School, Atlanta, GA
  • New York University, Stern School of Business, NYC
  • Babson College, F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business, Wellesley, MA
  • Pepperdine University, Graziadio School of Business and Management, Los Angeles, CA
  • University of Michigan, Ross School of Business, Ann Arbor, MI
  • University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School, Philadelphia PA and San Francisco, CA
  • Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management, Evanston, IL

The article offers tons of insight into which women-only initiatives help set these top schools apart from the pack, plus the breakdown in gender at each program. Click here to read what B-schools are doing to get more women into the classroom.
