UT McCombs School Announces Fall 2018 MBA Essays

Texas MBA essaysThe UT McCombs School of Business has announced the updated MBA essay questions for the 2017-18 admissions season.

Essay One

Introduce yourself. Select only one communication method that you would like to use for your response.

  • Write an essay (250 words), OR
  • Share a video introduction (one minute)

Essay Two

Picture yourself at graduation. Describe how you spent your two years as a Texas MBA student, and how that experience helped to prepare you for the post-MBA world. (500 words)

Optional Statement

Please provide any additional information you believe is important and/or address any areas of concern that will be beneficial to the Admissions Committee in considering your application (e.g. unexplained gaps in work experience, choice of recommenders, academic performance, or extenuating personal circumstances). (250 words)

The application for fall 2018 will open in late summer. For additional information on applying to the Texas MBA program, please visit the McCombs admissions website.

With deadlines around the corner, you may be interested in the world-famous SBC Flight Test. Once a full set of application materials for your initial school have been drafted, but not finalized, the application will be sent to a former admissions committee member for a one-time review, adcomm style. You’ll have the benefit of a true admissions committee review while still having the ability to tinker and change.  You will receive written feedback within two business days after submitting.
