MBA Application Ding Analysis
For applicants who applied in a previous season and would like insight on possible reasons for the outcomes, we recommend our MBA Application Ding Analysis with one of our reapplication experts. We need 2-3 hours per program application and that’s done via our hourly services. We typically allocate the hours as follows:
First Hour
Your SBC consultant will read your previous application offline and assemble notes on strengths and gaps. Here are the items we would like you to assemble into an email prior to starting with your ding analysis:
1. GMAT/GRE – each GMAT or score and %’s for quant, verbal, AWA and IR. It’s important to include the %’s as well. If you took the GMAT Focus, include your converted Classic edition score using the link here.
2. Transcripts – your undergrad transcript and any other transcripts for additional classes you have taken.
3. Essays – please put all of your essays into one document, with the essay question and the word count at the top. For word count, include both the posted limit as well as how long your essay is.
4. Resume
5. Data sheet – just the application itself
6. Recommendations – copies of recommendations if you have them
7. Include which programs you applied to, which application round and whether you received any interviews and/or waitlist invitations.
8. Any waitlist updates submitted to programs, if relevant.
Second and Third Hours
After reviewing your application offline, your SBC consultant will provide an evaluation summary, the “ding analysis,” via email and/or phone session. Our clients usually prefer two full hours for this evaluation work—after the initial one hour for the offline application review—because they value both email and phone feedback discussions and need time for questions and answers. Reapplication strategy and essay guidance for a reapplication require more time outside of the 3-hour ding analysis engagement.
We have an approximate 2-3 business day turnaround time for the ding analysis, pending availability on our team.
