Commitment to Diversity Strong at Cornell

The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management, a national not-for-profit organization for diversity and inclusion in American business, welcomes the Johnson School at Cornell University to its list of prestigious business schools as the 15th member school.

The mission of The Consortium is to enhance diversity in business education and leadership by helping to reduce the serious under-representation of African Americans, Hispanic Americans and Native Americans in member schools’ enrollment and the ranks of management.

Peter J. Aranda, III, Executive Director and CEO of The Consortium, is thrilled to have Cornell’s business school on board, saying in a statement that:

“Including the Johnson School among our member schools enhances our goal of providing opportunities for deserving students to attend top-ranked educational institutions. Having Consortium students at the Johnson School broadens our reach and strengthens our mission to promote diversity in American business schools and corporations.”

“The Johnson School works to promote a culture that not only values differences but treasures them as sources of strength,” sas Dean Joseph Thomas. “Joining The Consortium will help us build the diversity of our MBA classes and enrich the learning experience for all our students.”
