New Executive Dean at Carey School of Business

Amy-Hillman.previewArizona State University announced Wednesday that one of its nationally renowned professors of management, Amy Hillman, was recently named the new executive dean of the W. P. Carey School of Business.

Hillman will become second-in-command at the school, working under the leadership of Dean Robert Mittelstaedt, who has helped drive W. P. Carey into the Top 30 rankings for both graduate and undergraduate business schools in the United States, a university news article announcing the appointment states.

Her recent work has been featured in USA Today, The Washington Post and U.S. News & World Report., and Hillman’s research about the links between firms and their external contingencies, boards of directors, and corporate political strategies is well known.

Additionally, Hillman is editor of the world’s top management journal in terms of citation impact, Academy of Management Review, and she serves on the editorial boards of two other top management journals. She has also won numerous national awards as an outstanding reviewer and researcher.
