DeeDee served as the Assistant Director of MBA and master’s in finance Admissions at the MIT Sloan School of Management, where she sat on the Admissions Committee and recruited, evaluated, and interviewed candidates domestically and internationally. DeeDee holds a master’s in English literature from the University of Maryland and an Ed.D. in Learning, Leadership and Organization Development from the University of Georgia.
Since joining SBC in 2017, she has worked successfully with hundreds of clients, many of whom have secured admits to HBS, GSB, and Wharton, as well as MIT and other Top 10 MBA programs. Her clients have been awarded more than $2.2M in scholarship funding and many have been dual or triple admits. Additionally, she has successfully guided clients applying to master’s programs in finance and business analytics, Executive MBA,1-year MBA programs in the U.S. and globally, and deferred admissions programs.
What DeeDee enjoys most is helping her clients realize their full potential through rigorous and introspective evaluation. She is a passionate advocate for quality education and has worked in higher education for over 30 years, including 12 years at MIT. Besides her extensive experience in MBA admissions at two top business schools, she also taught college-level English composition and literature and developed educational technology platforms while working at MIT Sloan.
Outside of these professional pursuits, DeeDee studies several martial arts, reads too much science, speculative, and dystopian fiction, and enjoys getting outside as much as possible. As a resident of Athens, GA, she has served on the Boards of Athens PRIDE and Live Forward (an AIDS service organization). While at the University of Georgia, she was a member of the Dean’s DE&I Advisory Council at the Terry College of Business and chaired the UGA’s LGBTQ faculty/staff organization, GLOBES.
