Duke Workshop for Minority Applicants

Every year in November, Duke’s Fuqua School of Business offers a workshop addressing the needs of minority applicants interested in pursuing management careers in business. The workshop is open to all applicants who share the school’s commitment to diversity.

At the Duke MBA Workshop for Minority Applicants, student members of the Black and Latino MBA Association serve as hosts for the 3-day event, which often includes Fuqua alumni sharing their educational and professional insights with participants.

So, what can you expect at the workshop? The event offers both formal and informal interaction with Fuqua students, alumni, faculty, and administrators, plus Admissions staff share information on matching prospective students’ specific needs and abilities with various MBA programs, and provide insight into the application process.

Fuqua invites 80 attendees to the workshop, and you must submit an application for consideration. The application consists of a questionnaire (including a brief essay section), which is available online. Deadline to apply is October 19, 2009.
