The Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University is now one of only nine schools in the United States to partner with the United States Army Logistics University as part of its National Logistics Curriculum (NLC), Whitman announced earlier this week.
The NLC provides career military officers and Department of Defense civilians with comprehensive integrated knowledge of logistics as an enabler to the DoD’s logistical transformation strategy.
Frances Gaither Tucker, chair of the Whitman marketing department and associate professor of marketing and supply chain management, says the school is pleased to partner with the U.S. Army this way.
“Participating with the Army Logistics University will allow students in the military the opportunity to earn an M.S. in supply chain management from Whitman, which has been offering supply chain management and allied majors since 1919 and is highly recognized nationwide for supply chain management,” Tucker explains. “This partnership further solidifies the Whitman School’s longstanding relationship with the Department of Defense.”
