Getting to Know Your B-School Profs

MBA Podcaster‘s recently uploaded episode on Star Professors: Why Your Business School Professors Matter digs deeper into how professors and teaching styles affect MBA education, and how getting to know the faculty could help you find a school that is a good fit.

“Our experts have told us that for many MBA applicants, doing research into a schools professors is not a priority,” says producer Eve Troeh. “On this show they tell you why you should bump it up on your to do list and increase your chances to getting into the school that is right for you.”

This sentiment is echoed on the UNC Kenan-Flagler MBA Blog, which featured a post last month on the many benefits of getting to know your professors.

“Having professors who don’t only teach you in class but interact with students through the various activities and clubs on campus makes the learning experience that much stronger,” writes Janet Bowler. “You learn their backgrounds and what their experiences are, and you begin to develop strong relationships from day one.”
