STREAMLINING THE MBA APPLICATION PROCESS

Attention prospective MBA students: there is a newly-launched online workspace that helps business school applicants streamline, organize and manage their admissions process.  The site, Apply in the Sky, was created by recent MBA applicants to help others save time and gain an edge by addressing the time-management and organizational challenges of the process.

Apply in the Sky’s solution includes an online dashboard, pre-populated with data and admissions requirements for 60 MBA programs.  The dashboard also hosts a suite of eight tools (each, a web app, in and of itself) that provide applicants with a consolidated interface through which they can research and organize school information, work on essays (plus manage drafts and feedback), track progress through customized to do lists, and stay on top of all deadlines, calendar items and news feeds in one spot.

“Our original idea emerged when my co-founder, Emily Chiu, and I were applying to business school last fall and questioning why there were no technology-enabled solutions to help applicants manage their time and stay organized,” says Chiara Piccinotti, “So we set out to build one, with the goal of helping other applicants overcome the pain points that we personally experienced.”

Applicants can register for a two-week trial by visiting www.applyinthesky.com.  With a special discount code, Stacy Blackman Consulting clients will save 20% on premium accounts.  In addition, we are hosting several Facebook and Twitter contests, through which applicants can sign up to win premium memberships (valued at $75).   Thanks, Apply in the Sky!
