SBC Lab: The Action Gap in MBA Admissions

SBC Lab logo
We’ve spent more than two decades helping applicants tell their stories. Your narrative is more important than ever, but with AI making “perfect” essays easy to generate, schools are no longer looking for polished prose. They’re looking for Evidence of Initiative. They are asking: “If you claim to be a ‘future tech leader’ or a ‘social entrepreneur,’ what have you actually built while waiting for your MBA?”

The candidates who stand out will be the ones who arrive with something real to point to.

That’s where SBC Lab comes in.

It’s a new service we’ve built to help applicants move from a theoretical narrative to a live, functional product, service, or organization anchored and ready for Round 1.

How it works:

  1. We help you identify a strategic “Capstone” project that aligns with your career goals and narrative.
  2. We work with you to actually build it out.
  3. If technology is needed, we provide the agentic-AI infrastructure (in partnership with Woz) to build and ship your tool. No coding required.

The “Founding 5”: We’re selecting 5 applicants to pilot SBC Lab. You don’t need a business plan. We just need to know: What impact do you want to have on the world?

The goal is to have your project live by July, giving you a real, tangible “signature project” to anchor your Round 1 applications.

Five founding spots are available now. Tell us what you want to build.
